Cited as autumn’s favourite colour by tastemakers, fashionistas and designers, rich berry hues are setting the tone for the switch in season.

In the midst of a major resurgence, not since the early Eighties has burgundy been such a big hit.

Following on from last year’s autumn/winter collections where merlot was the fashion forecast, interior designers are revisiting these deep red hues and finding inspiration for a wealth of homewares and furnishings in the latest collections.

With the potential for colour drenching, being a central feature, or decorative accent, burgundy, merlot and bordeaux are stirring our senses – and tantalising the taste buds as much as the wines themselves.
