The Enhanced Games co-founder never drinks, takes a low-dose GLP-1 and needs a witch, dragon or werewolf to unwind
Five saunas, no alcohol and a cheesy romcom: What does billionaire Christian Angermayer's daily routine look like?

Wherever I am in the world, I avoid meetings before 10am. That doesn’t mean I sleep until 9.45am, but it does mean I can wake without an alarm, somewhere between 7am and 10am, when my body is ready.

I fly to America roughly every two weeks, so going to bed at the same time each night is impossible. Still, I’m sleep-obsessed, so if I can’t have consistency, I can at least make sure I am never dragged awake by an alarm.

The first thing I do is look at my phone, which I shouldn’t. Then I pray and meditate. Some days I manage it the other way round, which is better.

If I have a routine, it’s really an anti-routine: I never drink alcohol. Constant time-zone travel, which I love, is a drag on the body, medically speaking, and I don’t want to burden it with anything else.

I don’t eat breakfast. I’ve done intermittent fasting for so long that I barely notice. I eat within a window of four to eight hours. Dinner is unavoidable, because while people are fine if you don’t eat at a breakfast meeting, it’s very weird if you don’t eat at dinner.

When I eat, it’s roughly Mediterranean: more fish than meat, no bread, legumes rather than bad carbs. But anyone who knows me knows I’ll have a cookie once a month.

For two years I’ve been on a low-dose GLP-1 injection. I’m a stress eater, even when the stress is good, and when I’m busy, I’ll accidentally eat a cookie here and there. The GLP-1 is outsourced discipline: I don’t think about food until someone brings it up.

I do mild testosterone replacement therapy, too. I believe most men over 40 would benefit from bringing their levels back to where they were in their thirties.

I cycle tesamorelin, a peptide that boosts the body’s own growth hormone production. For energy I take SS-31. Then pinealon and epitalon for sleep and I use a topical copper peptide for my skin. Then there are DHEA, pregnenolone, magnesium, 5-HTP and vitamin D. Unless you live on the equator and run around naked all day, you’re probably deficient.

A few months ago I started taking Quviviq, a new sleep drug that isn’t addictive. Things like Ambien and Xanax were never really sleep drugs; they knock you out and rob you of deep sleep, which is why people wake up feeling worse. With Quviviq, I sleep better, and shorter, and wake feeling refreshed.

Its daytime opposite is modafinil, a narcolepsy drug that has been around for decades. It keeps me awake and focused for around 12 hours, and it’s much cleaner energy than coffee. I’m very, very against amphetamines.

“Anything done obsessively is bad for you. Care about your health, but never stress about it”

I train four or five times a week, mixing weights and cardio. A few times a week I do Peloton and while I ride, two big red-light panels give me full-body red-light therapy. I do sauna every day, usually before bed, and I have one in every apartment.

In the evening I need 30 minutes of TV, now with blue-light blocking glasses. My rule is nothing related to my life, so no lawyers, politicians or business. Even sci-fi is getting too close to the deep tech I invest in. I need a witch, a werewolf, a vampire or a dragon, or very cheesy romcoms.

Once or twice a year I do a proper psychedelic session, mostly psilocybin, and occasionally I microdose. Early on I had a lot of questions. Now it’s maintenance.

At the Enhanced Games we only allow FDA-approved drugs. My advice is to be open to enhancement, but don’t trust every random person on Instagram and don’t make yourself a guinea pig. Anything done obsessively is bad for you. Care about your health, but never stress about it.
