So Eamonn Holmes’s girlfriend Katie Alexander has been given her marching orders from the £5,000-a-month rented luxury London penthouse apartment she shared part-time with her TV boyfriend.
The news will bring a wry smile to those wives who have watched their exes fall for younger women.
Ruth Langsford, who is currently divorcing Eamonn, must also be savouring a sweet sense of satisfaction after Katie, 45 to Eamonn and Ruth’s 66, was told to remove all her belongings immediately from the posh £1.3million pad she had lived in three days a week for free for three years.
Eamonn, of course, had himself been booted out by Ruth from their £3.4million matrimonial home in 2024 after she discovered his ‘online friendship’ with Katie.
But now it’s Katie’s turn to go, despite the fact she apparently pleaded that she needed to remain in the penthouse because it is close to the hospital where Eamonn is recovering from a massive stroke.
Katie’s protestations went unheard, however. Insiders say she was quickly shown the door and advised that if she wanted to be near hospital-bound Eamonn, she should check into a nearby Travelodge – and pay for it herself.

Katie Alexander's recently posted Instagram stories seemingly allude to her relationship with the hospitalised TV presenter, despite her being told to move out of his London penthouse

Now amid speculation Eamonn will never again work on TV due to his declining health, Katie pops up with selfies of their time together as proof of their enduring love
How utterly delicious – revenge served not just cold but on a tray of ice.
Yet instead of taking it lying down, friends of Katie came out fighting, insisting: ‘It’s so unfair she has been left out in the cold.’
And, in a bizarre twist of fate as my colleague Katie Hind reported, both of Eamonn’s wives have joined forces. His soon-to-be ex Ruth and his first wife Gabrielle, with whom he had three children before they split amicably and he moved on to Ruth, have united to see off Katie.
Could it be that they think the divorced mum of three, former shop assistant and self-styled relationship counsellor and therapist is being opportunistic?
Katie’s friends insist she’s being badly treated: ‘Katie feels they aren’t being very kind to her as she is desperately wishing for him to come out the other side of his stroke as much as they are.’
Before adding: ‘There are some people who think Katie is after his money and fame that goes with being his girlfriend, which is deeply unfair. She adores Eamonn.’
All jolly good – her love for Eamonn was apparent in her regular appearances at his side at glamorous showbiz events before he suffered his stroke, as well as when they holidayed together on a luxury cruise after he officially split from Ruth in 2024.
The Katie Camp remind us she was the one who appeared staunchly beside him after he and Ruth separated, she who comforted him after his legion of health struggles – including chronic back pain, three slipped discs and a dislocated pelvis after a fall.
Now amid speculation that due to his fragile health Eamonn will never again work on TV, bringing an end to his £300,000-a-year GB News salary, Katie pops up with selfies of their time together as proof of their enduring love.
Meanwhile, friends of hers are briefing that the £5,000-a-month penthouse was ‘the place where she and Eamonn shared so much of their time’ adding that although ‘he might have been struggling physically, he is a charming, very funny man and they had many good times there'.
Eamonn’s family reportedly believe that it is lust for Eamonn’s ‘money and fame’ that’s driving Katie. But there is no guarantee of riches to come from him for her.

Given Ruth’s and Eamonn’s combined wealth of somewhere around £10million – the way Katie (seen with Eamonn at Ascot) talks about ‘worth’ may seem to the uncharitable mind less like a grieving girlfriend’s pleading and more like a clear warning of intent, writes Amanda Platell
And who can ignore the timing of the briefings from Katie’s friends? Could it be influenced by the fact that the Ruth v Eamonn divorce trial is due to be heard in a High Court trial in November?
Katie recently posted an Instagram picture of herself looking sensational in a purple, bosom-revealing top with the words across her cleavage: ‘When your man phones to tell you he loves you’, accompanied by various heart emojis. It was also accompanied by the words ‘#you and me’; ‘#meandE' and ‘#Lovewins’.
Even more revealingly, she posed for a selfie in a strapless green bikini looking tanned and gazing enigmatically off into the sunrise with the message: ‘Softness is strength. Peace is luxury.’ And ‘knowing your worth changes everything’.

Of course her short time with the ailing TV presenter pales into insignificance compared to the 27 years Ruth and Eamonn spent together, in which they raised their son Jack who we are led to believe supports his mother Ruth in the forthcoming court case.
Then there is perhaps the most telling message from Katie’s friends: ‘It shouldn’t be forgotten that through these last hard years, Katie was the one at home looking after him and keeping him chirpy.’ They add: ‘Surely that should count for something.’
Is this proof that Katie believes she is entitled to something after caring part-time for her seriously ill boyfriend?
Maybe so. But Eamonn’s family and Ruth will surely think very differently. Let battle commence!
