BBC’s Morning Live team is getting a new addition, with a familiar face joining the team.

Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones will welcome a new star to the show later this month.

This week, Gethin told viewers they will have a “new expert” on the programme who wanted people watching to get in touch - with Helen revealing that the newcomer would be Dave Fishwick, the businessman and entrepreneur who was the inspiration behind Netflix's Bank of Dave.

In a pre-recorded segment, Dave then explained that he wanted to hear from people who had any questions regarding finances, reeling off a variety of topics he could help with.

The new segment, called Ask Dave, will feature on Morning Live each week.

Dave also confirmed the news on Instagram, calling the Morning Live team “wonderful”, and telling his followers that his new role was their finance and business expert.

Many people commented on the post, delighted with his addition to the show.

Morning Live star Justine Jones welcomed the “brilliant” news that Dave is joining the team, while fellow BBC presenter Marc Cananur said it was going to be “great to work with you again”.

Last Monday’s episode of Morning Live saw the return of presenters Gethin and Helen.

after several weeks off air, with fans flooding social media with messages of excitement and warm praise.
