A body has been found during a search for a missing 15-year-old boy who was reported to have got into difficulty in the sea while on a family holiday.

On 1 September the coastguard said a major sea search for the teen at Marloes Sands beach, Pembrokeshire, had been called off after two days.

HM Coastguard received a report that three people were in difficulty at 15:30 BST on 31 August.

Two were able to get out of the water, but the teenage boy, who was visiting from Yorkshire, was unaccounted for. The search was suspended at 19:30 BST on Monday.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the next of kin have been informed.

She said: "It's a very dynamic environment. The sea can change at any minute, the weather can change at any minute, so people need to be aware of the risks."
