
The body of a man has been recovered from the water near Portpatrick following reports of a person in the water.
Police, coastguard rescues crews and a coastguard helicopter were deployed after emergency services were alerted at about 07:15 on Sunday morning.
Police said the death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.
They added that a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
HM Coastguard said rescue teams from Portpatrick, Stranraer, Ballintrae and Drummore took part in the search.
