A road has reopened after a bomb disposal team was called to reports of a suspicious item found in Edinburgh.
A number of properties were evacuated and a cordon set up following the discovery in Restalrig Avenue late on Monday afternoon.
The road was closed between Loganlea Avenue and Loganlea Drive and bus diversions were in place.
Emergency services, including the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), attended and the item was made safe.
Police Scotland said no injuries were reported and thanked the public for their patience.
