A British town was hit by an earthquake on Tuesday, with residents reporting feeling 'shaking' and 'rumbles' from the tremor.
The quake, measuring 2.2 on the Richter scale, originated around three miles beneath the Earth's surface and was felt at 7.47pm.
Residents in Grimsby and surrounding areas including Cleethorpes reported hearing a sudden bang and feeling shaking in their homes.
One said: 'I felt what felt like a really quick shake in my house, I thought something heavy had fallen down upstairs or in the loft.'
Another added: 'I heard a deep rumble, I thought it was thunder.'
Others wrote online they had felt their homes 'shake and tremble'.
The Lincolnshire quake, recorded by the British Geological Survey, is classed as minor, meaning it was only felt by those very close to the epicentre.
Between 200 and 300 of these kind of events are recorded in Britain every year.

The UK is not located in a seismic zone, an area designated particularly at risk of earthquakes.
Most earthquakes that do affect Britain measure just two or three on the Richter scale.
But an incident in 1931 known as the Dogger Bank earthquake saw a 6.1 strength quake strike off the north-east coast of England.
It was felt in Britain, France and Belgium and is even said to have caused the head of the waxwork of Dr Crippen to fall off at Madame Tussauds.
Closer to last night's event, in 2018 Grimsby saw a 3.9 magnitude earthquake centre on the town, with it being felt up to 60 miles away.
