Autumn may have crept up on us but the BBC has a plan to fill our evenings as the nights draw in as The Celebrity Traitors returns to screens.

Following the success of the first star-studded spin-off, the BBC’s flagship gameshow is back again for a second all-star series this week.

Claudia Winkleman is once again at the helm on the series which was filmed earlier this year, as 21 celebrities head to the Scottish Highlands to play the ultimate game of social deduction.

The Traitors format requires utter secrecy from its players, leaving the cast struggling to keep schtum in media interviews when asked what happened in the Traitors Castle.

Here’s everything we know about The Celebrity Traitors series two.

The BBC reality gameshow will return this Thursday (October 1) with an extra-long opening episode at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, while sister show : will follow the main series episodes on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds.

Series two will have 10 episodes compared to last series’ nine, with two episodes each week on Thursday and Friday evenings at 8pm.

will again be hosted by Ed Gamble, who will interview the banished and murdered players for a debrief, as well as reactions from previous Traitors’ stars.

According to the latest odds by the Online Betting Guide (OLGB), Joanne McNally and Michael Sheen are joint favourites at 6/1.

Musician James Blunt follows closely behind at 13/2, while Bella Ramsey is priced at 7/1 and Maya Jama at 8/1.
