A small-boat migrant who called for the death of all Jews is facing calls for his deportation after he was found housed in a Northamptonshire town at the taxpayers' expense.

Palestinian gun-toting militant Abu Wadee, 34, served nine months behind bars for illegally entering the UK by dinghy across the Channel last year.

The known 'Hamas supporter' is now housed in a property in Corby under the Home Office's asylum dispersal scheme.

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said it was a 'joke' that Wadee was living at public expense and called for him to be sent back to Hamas-controlled territory where he would 'fit right in'.

Local Labour politicians in Corby also expressed concern, with MP Lee Barron saying he would press Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood to deport Wadee immediately.

The Daily Mail understands the Home Office is seeking to deport Wadee, but it was unclear how long the process may take.

The case will pile fresh pressure on Prime Minister Andy Burnham to get a grip on the migrant crisis, after nearly 1,700 people arrived by small boats last week.

Wadee's life in Corby, sharing a home with three other people, will cost the taxpayer £23.25 a night according to Home Office average figures on the asylum dispersal scheme.

He will also receive up to £49.18 a week in subsistence allowance.

Wadee was thought to be inside the semi-detached home in Corby when the Daily Mail visited yesterday. 

There was no answer at the property but a man who identified himself as a housing officer arrived and went inside.

Shortly afterwards, at 1pm, a taxi arrived for Wadee. The driver had been given his full name of Mosab Abdulkarim al-Gassas.

One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said they were 'appalled' that Wadee was living on the road.

They said: 'A lovely family lived there a few years ago. I still speak to them. They were asked to move out and it became a HMO [house of multiple occupancy].

'The other people staying have been very nice. I believe that we should help people from war-torn countries and welcome them here.

'But to say death to Jewish people? I am appalled. That is not welcome here. Not in this country or this street.'

Another nearby resident said news that Wadee lived in her street was 'scary'.

The woman said: 'I never thought they would allow someone like this to live here.'

The Mail on Sunday revealed in March last year how Wadee had arrived in the UK and was a former key member of a group that has terrorised Israel.

He had filmed himself chanting about killing Jews, posed menacingly with AK-47s and posted a string of pictures depicting running battles with the Israeli Defence Forces.

In one sickening video, posted on his Facebook page in September 2024, he was filmed calling for Allah to 'punish [Jews] completely'.

'Allah, it is upon you to [deal with] the Jews and those loyal to them,' he said, according to a translation by research organisation Camera.

'Allah, kill them one by one, and don't leave a single one. Allah, destroy them completely, disperse them completely and make the earth fall from under their feet.'

MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire Mr Barron said he was 'appalled' by Wadee's presence in the town.

'I will contact the Home Secretary to seek his immediate deportation,' said Labour's Mr Barron.

'We have done this before in Corby and we'll do it again.'

Wadee charted his journey across Europe to his 170,000 TikTok followers, with some videos being viewed more than 2.5million times.

He has since set up other social media accounts documenting his life in Britain.

Wadee was jailed in May last year after he was convicted over his illegal arrival in the UK on a dinghy and in December it was revealed he had lodged an asylum claim after being freed from prison.

Wadee is believed to be in his mid-thirties and from the city of Khan Yunis in Gaza.

Although he fled the territory before the massacres Hamas carried out on October 7, 2023, he appears to have been a prominent member of the so-called 'Tyre-Burning Unit', a group of Palestinian extremists who before the war regularly hurled fire-bombs and rocks at Israeli forces manning the border with Gaza.

Tory frontbencher Mr Philp said: 'It's a joke that British taxpayers are funding the lifestyle of a Hamas-supporting, gun-toting extremist who broke into our country illegally.

'This man - and all those entering illegally - should be deported.

'Given that he supports Hamas and Hamas-run Gaza, I see no reason why he can't go back there. He'd fit right in.'

A spokesman for the Campaign Against Antisemitism said: 'What is the point of imprisoning someone for being in the country illegally, and then when he completed his sentence, allowing him to roam free?

'Our laws have become a laughing stock.'

A Government spokesman said: 'Any foreign national who receives a prison sentence in the UK is referred for deportation at the earliest opportunity and will be barred from ever returning.

'Over 11,000 foreign criminals including murderers and rapists have been returned or deported in the two years since the last election - a 41 per cent increase on the two years prior.'
