Danny Dyer, James Norton and Cynthia Erivo have been named as the latest three hosts for upcoming episodes of the UK edition of Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Rivals star Dyer will front the comedy show on October 10, where he will be joined by singer-songwriter Sasha Keable as the musical guest, while Happy Valley star Norton will host on October 17, accompanied by The Streets.

Wicked star Erivo will lead the show the following week on October 24, in an episode which will feature music by rock band Blossoms.

The stars are expected to open the show with a monologue and take part in skits throughout the 75-minute episode, following in the footsteps of recent hosts including comedian Jamie Demetriou and Chicken Shop Date presenter Amelia Dimoldenberg.

Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum, who featured in the smash-hit Wicked films alongside Erivo, also hosted the show earlier this month as he kicked off the launch of its second series.

Dyer, 49, is known for playing Mick Carter in BBC soap EastEnders, but since leaving the show in 2022 he has been praised by critics for his dramatic roles such as in Rivals.

The actor recently won a Bafta TV Award for his role in hit comedy Mr Bigstuff, and has also appeared in films such as Human Traffic, The Football Factory and Marching Powder.

His hosting will mark the return of SNL UK after its one-week pause, and he will be joined by singer Keable who is famed for tracks including Tell Me What You Want, Voices and Ruin.

Norton has starred in TV dramas such as Happy Valley and Grantchester, and has also appeared in films including Mr Jones and Little Women.

The 41-year-old will take the stage alongside Birmingham-based band The Streets, while Erivo will host the following week.

The award-winning actress and singer starred alongside Ariana Grande in the silver screen adaptation of musical Wicked and its sequel For Good, and they both received Oscar nominations for their roles in the first film.

Erivo, who is famed for her powerhouse vocals and roles across theatre, film and TV, will helm the show while English indie band Blossoms feature as a musical guest.

SNL made its UK debut on March 21, with a star-studded episode fronted by US actress Fey, who was previously the head writer and lead cast member on the sketch show’s US version.

The Sky Original show follows NBC’s late-night comedy show with a number of segments including an opening monologue, topical sketches and a UK version of The Weekend Update.

The show is broadcast live from London and sees a different host each week alongside the show’s cast, which includes actor Hammed Animashaun and comedians Ayoade Bamgboye and Larry Dean.

SNL UK returns on Sky and Now on October 10 at 10pm.
