It’s no secret that Donald Trump takes great pride in his appearance.
Now, the president has unveiled what appears to be another new hairdo – this time, with a slightly different colour.
In new photos taken on Friday, Trump’s trademark blonde locks appear much darker, and people have taken notice.
‘Something needs to be done about his hair under the 25th Amendment,’ Trump critic George Conway wrote in reference to the rules in the US Constitution outlining who takes over if a president dies, resigns, becomes ill, or is removed.
Aaron Rupar wrote: ‘What in the world is going on with Trump’s hair?’
Fox News even commented on the leader’s new ‘do, saying: ‘Trump stepped off Air Force One in New Jersey with his famously blond hair appearing noticeably darker.’
Just last month, the president was seen next to CIA director John Ratcliffe with the hairdo he is best known for – wispy, thin strands of blonde atop his head.
In the past, Trump has boasted about his looks, claiming he is more attractive than his rivals and even blasting magazines for allegedly making him look bad.
In 2025, he branded Time Magazine’s cover shoot of him as ‘the worst of all time’.
The picture, taken from below, showed Trump with the sun behind his head, meaning his pale hair was rather difficult to see against the light backdrop.
Trump hasn’t publicly addressed his darker locks, instead posting a series of AI videos and images on his Truth Social platform yesterday.
In one image, he shared a map of New Mexico and crossed out the state’s name, dubbing it ‘New America’ as he continues his spree of renaming things.
Late last month, with the Iran War still raging and Russian threats on NATO, the White House put out a post saying that Lake Ontario was now called ‘Lake America’.
‘I guess the purpose of this, more than anything else, is we’re going to be changing the name of Lake Ontario, effective immediately to Lake America. That’s going to take place right now as I sign the order,’ Trump said.
‘We defend Canada for nothing, we don’t get anything,’ Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
