A 32-year-old man has died in a two-car crash in Angus.

He was driving a white Audi A1 that was in collision with a dark-coloured Ford Focus on the A94 near Glamis at about 18:05 on Thursday.

Police said the 22-year-old male driver of the Ford Focus was taken to hospital where his condition was described as "serious".

The road between Glamis and Meigle, in Perth and Kinross, was closed to allow for a crash investigation.

Sgt Michael Guild said: "I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who saw either vehicle prior to the collision, to please get in touch with officers.

"I'd also ask those with dashcams who were driving in the area at the time to review their footage for any images that could assist with our investigation."
