Drug dealer groans ‘f**k my life’ as cops confirm he’ll be jailed

A smirking drug dealer was caught on camera groaning ‘f**k my life’ after cops told him he was ‘100%’ going to prison.

Bobby Duxfield, 21, was caught with cocaine, a machete and £1,320 in cash after leading police on a 40-minute chase through parks and busy roads in Darlington, County Durham.

Police bodycam footage showed Duxfield stunned as officers listed off a string of charges including drug dealing, carrying a weapon and driving offences.

But moments after being arrested, the Duxfield was still joking with officers, telling them: ‘You were coursing us like a little hare man!

‘You got us like, I’ll give you that. Fair play to you. I wish you’d leave us to it.’

One officer replied: ‘I love leaving people to their criminal activity.’

The exchange continued after cops discover a wad of £20 notes stuffed in Duxfield’s pocket.

Footage captures the pursuit and subsequent arrest of machete-carrying drug dealer, Bobby Duxfield, who fled from police on an e-bike and has been jailed for three years. // Police were called on September 21 following reports that a man had been threatened with a machete while walking his dog on Hutton Avenue, in Darlington. Bobby Duxfield made off from the scene on a Surron e-bike, refusing to stop for police as he rode around the town at high speeds, narrowly missing pedestrians and other traffic. A pursuit was authorised, coordinated by the Force Incident Manager in a control room, with officers from Durham Roads and Armed Policing Unit and response taking to the ground. Assistance was also sought from the National Police Air Service who tracked Duxfield as he rode through the town, directing officers on the ground to his location. The bike was stung and stopped on Tornado Way, where Duxfield was arrested and a large machete was seized, along with cocaine, and ?1,320 in cash. Photo released 23/10/2026

Then, realising the seriousness of his situation, Duxfield turned to an armed officer and asked: ‘Am I going to jail?’

The cop replied: ‘Oh, 100%, you’re going to prison. Even with the prison crisis, I’d put my mortgage on you going to prison.’

Duxfield responded: ‘F**k my life’ before joking about not having to take his own transport to his prison cell.

Police launched the operation on September 21 after reports that a man walking his dog on Hutton Avenue had been threatened with a machete.

When officers attempted to stop Duxfield on a Surron e-bike, he sped off through the town, refusing to pull over.

A police helicopter was scrambled as he tore through parks, residential streets and busy roads, narrowly missing pedestrians and traffic.

At one stage, a police car came within inches of boxing him in, causing Duxfield to lose his shoes before he accelerated away along the A66.

The chase finally ended when officers deployed a stinger, bursting the e-bike’s tyres and forcing him to stop.

After his arrest, police recovered a large machete, cocaine and £1,320 in cash. Duxfield, of Darlington, later admitted a string of offences including drug dealing, carrying an offensive weapon and driving without insurance.

He was jailed for three years at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday and also banned from driving for three years.

Chief Inspector Sarah Hindmarsh, from Durham Roads and Armed Policing Unit, said: ‘This is a great result in getting a dangerous drug dealer off our streets, and highlights our commitment to tackling the illegal and antisocial use of these bikes.

‘Duxfield’s riding was absolutely appalling. He put other road users and pedestrians at serious risk – it is only by chance that nobody was seriously injured, or worse, killed, as a result of his actions.’

A 17-year-old boy was also arrested and charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and possession of criminal property.

He pleaded not guilty and is due to stand trial in November.
