Dyson’s first-ever hot air brush joins the beauty giant’s family of transformative hot air hair tools. Designed for blow-outs that could pass as having the touch of a professional hairdresser, it’s also surprisingly affordable.

The Dyson Airsmooth, priced at £199.99, is designed to stretch and smooth with perfect tension from wet to dry. While there are similarities to the renowned Airwrap (£379.99, Dyson.co.uk), the Airsmooth really strips things back.

At £380 less, the Airsmooth focuses on creating a smoother, bouncy blowdry, cutting out the interchangeable drying attachments. As someone who swore by the Airwrap for years, having a tool that combines drying and styling – like my beloved Airstrait (£300, Dyson.co.uk) – is game-changing.

The Airsmooth uses PivotFlex™ bristles to diffuse airflow from its base for improved scalp comfort and Anti-snag bristles to glide through hair with less breakage. This game-changing aspect of the dual bristle system means the brush is designed to guide hair rather than fight against it.

The brush is built on the foundation of ‘less damage’. It comes with four heat and three speed settings, alongside intelligent heat control technology, measuring the air temperature over 20 times a second to protect hair from extreme heat damage.

Something new to Dyson products is their international use. Back in July, Dyson released its Supersonic Travel hair dryer (£250, Dyson.co.uk), its first product designed to be used anywhere in the world. The Airsmooth too is engineered for international use, built with global voltage (240V), making it the only tool you’ll need to travel with.
