Eamonn Holmes’ inner circle are reportedly mistrusting of his girlfriend Katie Alexander and believe she may be after “his money and fame”.

The GB News presenter, 66, began dating the relationship counsellor, 45, in 2024 after his split from wife Ruth Langsford and she later moved into his £1.3 million rented Surrey flat.

It was reported earlier this month that Alexander has moved out of the three-bedroom property while Holmes remains in hospital recovering from his stroke in April.

Alexander - who shared a pointed post about “knowing her worth” last week - is reportedly feeling “cast aside” since Holmes ex-wives Langsford and Gabrielle Holmes reportedly started caring for him in hospital.

"Katie has been left out in the cold, on her own, and that is very upsetting for her,” an insider told The Daily Mail.

They went on: "There is no love lost between Katie and Ruth, or between her and some quarters of Eamonn’s wider family, but Katie feels they aren’t being very kind to her, as she is desperately wishing for him to come out the other side from his stroke as much as they are.

"There are some people close to Eamonn who think Katie is after his money and the fame that goes with being his girlfriend. That is the narrative some have put out about her which is deeply unfair."

The source added that Alexander “adores Eamonn" and is "heartbroken" that he is unwell. The Standard has contacted representatives for Alexander and Holmes for comment.

It comes after reports that Alexander has moved out of Holmes’ apartment.

The mother-of-three lives in West Yorkshire but has been splitting her time between there and the Surrey apartment, The Sun reported. It is unclear where Holmes will live when he leaves the hospital, according to the outlet.

“Katie is still very much together with Eamonn and in love, but she’s moved out of the flat,” a source said.

“It’s an incredibly sad situation — she loved it there and the time they spent together making it home. Katie has been Eamonn’s rock and lifeline since he fell ill. She’s willing him to get back to full fitness and get their lives back on track.”

Days after the reports emerged, Alexander shared a a bikini selfie on her Instagram Stories and captioned it: “There is a quiet kind of strength in becoming comfortable with who you are.

“No longer needing to prove, explain or seek validation – just choosing peace, protecting your energy and finding beauty in the life you're creating.”

She concluded: “Softness is strength. Peace is luxury. And knowing your worth changes everything. Starting with yourself.”

Meanwhile, Langsford is believed to have joined Holmes’ first wife, Gabrielle Holmes, with whom he has three children, at their “vulnerable” ex’s bedside in hospital.

The Loose Women presenter, 66, who has a son, Jack, 24, with Holmes, is understood to have put their divorce battle behind her and has bonded with Gabrielle over their “serious concerns” about Holmes’ wellbeing.

Holmes and Langsford are believed to be due in court again in November over the division of their joint £10 million fortune - but it is not known whether this will still go ahead, according to the publication.

Holmes’ future at GB News has faced doubt in light of his multiple health issues. He was hospitalised after he was reportedly found “slumped and out cold” at his home.

Holmes shared a message from his hospital bed in April, posting a photo of his two granddaughters with a handmade “Get well soom [sic]” card for him.

He captioned the post: “As my beautiful granddaughters put it so well - I will do my best to get well SOON. Thank you for all of your many many good wishes, they give me strength.”

The broadcaster has endured multiple health problems in the past few years, and recently revealed dealing with illness and mobility issues have been “horrendous”.

Holmes underwent a double hip replacement in 2016. Five years later, he suffered three slipped discs and a dislocated pelvis.
