Oil tanker lorry destroyed by fire on residential street

An oil tanker lorry has been destroyed by fire in a residential area close to Glenavon Football Club.

Firefighters were called to the incident at Mourneview Avenue in Lurgan, County Armagh at 11:43 BST on Friday.

A huge cloud of thick, black smoke was seen rising over the area as the lorry burned.

Three fire service appliances were sent to the scene and firefighters have since extinguished the blaze.
