FA Cup draw in full: First-round fixtures confirmed as non-league sides learn fate
The FA Cup first-round draw is complete, with some fascinating ties set as football’s oldest competition gets underway in earnest.
There are a number of non-league outfits still in contention, five of which are at this stage of the competition for the first time. The Northamptonshire side AFC Rushden & Diamonds play their league football at step eight and upset Morecambe at the weekend to reach this stage.
Tadley Calleva, though, are currently the lowest-ranked side in the contest. They play at step nine and twice came from behind to force Aldershot into a replay, which will take place on Tuesday afternoon.
All the non-league sides in contention here will be keen to replicate last season’s heroics by Macclesfield, who dumped out the holders Crystal Palace in the third round.
