The family of a woman who died in a three-car crash in Fife have described her as "a devoted mummy" who had "a heart of gold".

Aisha Kempson, 24, from Cardenden, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the A92 near Luthrie junction in the early hours of Sunday 4 October.

The mother-of-two was a passenger in an Audi A3. Two other cars, a grey Volvo V40 and a white Honda HRV, were also involved.

Police Scotland said a 27-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the crash had now been charged and will appear at Dundee Sheriff Court later.

In a statement, Aisha's mother described her as a "beautiful daughter, a much-loved sister and a devoted mummy to her two beautiful children".

She added that Aisha had a "heart of gold" and was "fiercely loyal to everyone she loved".

"She was loved by so many and will be missed more than words can ever express," she said.

"We are heartbroken by her loss and would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time," she added.

Insp Adam Scott said investigations were ongoing and a report had been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

"Our thoughts remain with Aisha's loved ones and everyone affected by this fatal crash," he said.
