Former BBC hellraiser Lisa I'Anson and
husband split

Her exit from Radio 1 was one of the BBC's most memorable dramas of the 1990s.

Now, it's another departure that has got Lisa I'Anson's friends talking.

'They simply grew apart,' a friend tells me. 'Lisa is now focusing on rebuilding her media career.'

The broadcaster, 61, married Amos, 59, in the 1990s at the height of her success and the couple have a daughter together. Lisa also has a son from a previous relationship.

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Lisa has now returned to London while Amos remains in LA.

During the heyday of 'rave' culture, Radio 1 used to decamp during August to Ibiza, where former MTV presenter Lisa took full advantage of the Spanish party island's attractions. So much so that on one occasion her breakfast show began while she was still raving at Manumission, one of Ibiza's most debauched nightclubs.

Lisa was reportedly given a final warning, had her wages docked and was forced to issue an apology to her fellow presenters and crew. Six months later, she left Radio 1 by 'amicable agreement'.

Amos – whose mother, the author Erin Pizzey, set up the pioneering domestic violence shelter Refuge – became a member of Culture Club, when he was 14 in the 1980s. He went on to be a founding partner of the Met Bar, the haunt of the rich and famous in the 'Cool Britannia' era.

After moving to the US, Amos founded the internet company Talenthouse.

Both Lisa and Amos decline to comment.

The new odd couple: Rob and Jerry Hall!

Comedian Rob Beckett and Jerry Hall have clearly formed a friendship following The Traitors

Comedian Rob Beckett and Jerry Hall have clearly formed a friendship following The Traitors

There may be 30 years between them, but could Jerry Hall and Rob Beckett's blossoming friendship prove they've formed a winning Celebrity Traitors alliance?

The new series of the hit BBC show was filmed in Scotland earlier this year and is due to be broadcast in the autumn.

Clearly, Rolling Stone Sir Mick Jagger's ex, 70, and the comedian, 40, have formed a friendship off screen. For the pair have already enjoyed a reunion.

'Hanging out with my Celebrity Traitors friend Rob Beckett,' writes Jerry alongside this selfie she posted of them online next to a scarecrow. The Texan model is said to have ruffled feathers during filming because she required producers to accommodate her cigarette breaks.

Serena waves chequered flag on her fashion label

Few have lived in the fast lane quite like Serena Bute, who, in her youth, survived addiction and hepatitis C – and the disappearance of her first husband, Robert De Lisser, who went on the run after being implicated in a suspected drug-smuggling operation – before she married ex-Formula 1 driver Johnny Dumfries, 7th Marquess of Bute.

But, aged 66, the marchioness is ready for a pit stop, announcing the closure of her womenswear label, Serena Bute London, whose fans included Rita Ora, Trinny Woodall and Kate Moss.

'I feel that the time has come for me to slow down and spend more time with my family and grandchildren,' Serena says.

Perhaps not as restful as it sounds. Serena and Dumfries, who died in 2021 aged 62, had six children between them, including a daughter, Lola, by their own union who favours a T-shirt bearing the slogan: 'I put the hot in psychotic'.

Will Meghan be joining pal Jessica's new girls' club?

Meghan and her stylist friend Jessica Mulroney have reportedly had a tumultuous relationship

Meghan and her stylist friend Jessica Mulroney have reportedly had a tumultuous relationship

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly froze out her 'best friend' Jessica Mulroney after the Canadian stylist got caught up in a race row in 2020.

However, Jessica's estranged husband, Ben Mulroney, claimed this year that she remained on 'positive terms' with Meghan. So no doubt Prince Harry's wife will be signing up to join her new private members' club.

The Haus Of Her is described as for 'women reinvesting in themselves'. Jessica, 46, whose sons were page boys at Harry and Meghan's 2018 wedding, booms: 'We are accepting membership requests NOW.'

What would the nuns at Nonnatus House think? Helen George, who plays fun-loving Trixie in the BBC's hit drama Call the Midwife, is hooked on body art. 'I am probably a bit addicted,' admits the actress, 42, who recently had three birds inked on her foot. 'I want to get a high priestess tattoo on my wrist and another one on my other wrist.'

Ann Droid star Diane Morgan has revealed she's the proud owner of Eric Morecambe's signet ring. The actress and comedienne, 50, snapped up the 9ct gold band when the late Morecambe and Wise star's possessions went under the hammer last year, with the lot fetching £2,300 – almost six times its estimate of up to £400.

'I love it,' she says. 'It's really distinctive. He didn't wear it all the time, but occasionally they'll be in sketches. It's had this whole other life.

'If there was a fire, I'd run and get this. And the dog, obviously. And [my partner] Ben.'
