Four men have been taken to hospital following a crash between a car and a tractor in Fife.
The collision, which involved a white BMW 3 Series and a blue New Holland tractor, happened at about 10:20 on Sunday on the A915 south of St Andrews.
The 20-year-old BMW driver and two passengers, both 20, were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee: one passenger with life-threatening injuries, the driver with serious injuries and the other passenger as a precaution.
The driver of the tractor, a 46-year-old man, was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police said the road was closed but has since been re-opened, and inquiries remain ongoing.
Sgt Phil Winning said: "I am appealing to those who witnessed the crash and have yet to speak to officers or anyone who was in the area prior and has information that could assist, to come forward.
"Motorists are also asked to check dash-cam footage and share anything which may be relevant with officers."
