A mother and her four-week-old baby both needed hospital treatment after they were ambushed last week.
The anonymous mum said she had been lured to a home in Detroit, Michigan, with her newborn boy, where they were attacked by family members of the child’s father.
Taylor, not her real name, said her baby was thrown out of its pushchair and landed face down on the ground, leaving him with bruises and a swollen eye.
The mother told Fox News she had visited the house in the Motor City’s west side under the pretence that the family members had wanted to see the baby.
However, the seemingly harmless trip turned nasty as the pair were severely beaten up, leaving Taylor with wounds all over her body.

Taylor said they suddenly came out and assaulted her in a ‘three versus one’ attack.
She recalled that a car seat was snatched out of her hand just as she was picking it up in a struggle that lasted for ten minutes.
‘I was just feeling blows on every part of my body,’ she said.
She added that she hoped those responsible would be shown ‘no mercy’ bythe authorities.
The case is now in the hands of the Detroit Police Department who are preparing to hand it over to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office to pursue charges.
