A park on the outskirts of Glasgow which was evacuated and temporarily closed due to a gas leak has now reopened.

Police Scotland said it was called to a report of a burst gas main in Eastwood Park in Giffnock at about 16:00 on Tuesday.

East Renfrewshire Council said all buildings within the park were closed and activities at the leisure centre or pitch were suspended while engineers attended.

The park reopened a short time later. Police confirmed there were no injuries.
