Arsenal take on Chelsea this afternoon as the two London giants go head to head at the Emirates Stadium.

Both sides have won their opening two matches of the new Premier League campaign, with the champions defeating Coventry City and Aston Villa in their first encounters.

The Blues, meanwhile, have a 100 per cent start under new boss Xabi Alonso, who has overseen victories against Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Gunners have been more watertight at the back than their counterparts, but the west Londoners have been frightening in attack, with a new-look strikeforce of Joao Pedro flanked by Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers.

Rogers had previously been Arsenal’s top transfer target of the summer window just passed, but he ended up moving to Stamford Bridge for £117million, which was the record for a British player.

He opened his account in his new colours on his league debut against Fulham, netting Chelsea’s second in a 3-2 win at Craven Cottage.
