A week removed from a one-sided Scottish League Cup quarter-final, Celtic and Rangers lock horns again this afternoon for the second Old Firm derby of the season.

Rangers came out on top when the two bitter rivals met at Ibrox seven days ago, captain Dan Neil scored twice as new manager Derek McInnes marked his debut in this fixture with an emphatic 3-0 victory.

That was a fifth straight win for The Gers, on the back of suffering an humiliating Conference League exit and momentum appears to be on their side having also kept four clean sheets during this impressive run.

However, the same cannot be said for the reigning Scottish Premiership champions. Celtic followed up their cup loss with a 3-1 defeat in their opening Europa League fixture at home to Ferencvaros on Thursday night as pressure begins to build on Martin O'Neill's side.

That said, having started the defence of their crown with six wins from six, they have the chance to move eight points clear of Rangers should they get back to winning ways today.

As the was the case at Ibrox last weekend, there will be no away fans inside Celtic Park at the order of the authorities amid a ticket allocation spat between the two Glasgow giants.
