Detectives investigating two sexual assaults on Tube trains in London have launched a CCTV picture appeal.

The first attacked happened around 8.40pm on Saturday, August 1, when a man sexually assaulted a woman on board a Northern line train at Waterloo Underground station.

When she turned around, the man had exposed himself. He then left the service and boarded a northbound Northern line train.

The same man then sexually assaulted another woman two days later, at around 8pm on August 3, again on board a Northern Line train, near Euston.

Officers believe the man in the images could have information that may assist their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to text BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 716 of 1 August.

Information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

In February, the Standard revealed that crime on the London Underground rose last year, with more violence, public disorder and a massive increase in vandalism reported to police.

A total of 12,951 offences on the Tube were logged between July and December 2025, up from 12,606 in the same period a year earlier - a 2.7 per cent increase.

This was primarily driven by a 152 per cent rise in reports of criminal damage, up from 947 to 2,390 incidents, as a result of the graffiti epidemic on the Underground.

But sexual assaults on the Tube fell by almost 11 per cent, from 499 to 445 incidents.
