Jack Grealish will be left out of Everton’s squad once more when they take on Newcastle United this evening.

David Moyes omitted the England international from his matchday cohort for the Carabao Cup victory over the Magpies in midweek, which the Toffees won 3-1.

The club confirmed ahead of kick-off that the former Aston Villa captain had been left out on purpose due to a “breach of club discipline”, which turned out to be not reporting for team training.

As such, Moyes took the decision to leave his No10 out completely, and the Manchester City loanee will not feature again when his current club face Newcastle tonight at St James’ Park.

Left out: Jack Grealish

The Athletic reports that the attacking midfielder has not ‘regained his fitness’ following his disciplinary breach in midweek.

Tyrique George and Tyler Dibling were selected to play off the flanks ahead of Grealish against Matthias Jaissle’s side, while Thierno Barry led the line with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as the No10.

Grealish has not produced a single goal invovlement since rejoining the Toffees on a second loan spell in the summer.

He was re-signed from City despite making a couple of substitute cameos for his parent club under new manager Enzo Maresca, but the arrivals of Allan and Iliman Ndiaye limited his playing time further at the Etihad Stadium.

Grealish, who saw a stress fracture in his foot curtail his first spell on Merseyside, has played six games in all competitions this term.
