James, Fatboy Slim and Amy Macdonald have been announced as the headline acts for next year's Belladrum Tartan Heart festival.

Manchester indie band James, who will head up the event's Thursday line-up, were forced to pull out of Bella's Saturday night headline slot this year after frontman Tim Booth lost his voice.

Friday night act Fatboy Slim, aka DJ Norman Cook, will be making his first Highland festival appearance in 14 years having previously performed at RockNess.

Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald will headline on Saturday 20 years after she first played at Belladrum.

The festival, near Beauly, is take place from 29-31 July.

"To finally reveal Fatboy Slim alongside two other incredible headliners in James and Amy Macdonald feels pretty special - three very different artists, but each with an incredible connection to our audience."

After James were forced to withdraw, Razorlight were moved up as headliners and Scots singer-songwriter Cammy Barnes was asked to fill Razorlight's spot.

Fatboy Slim has previously had a close connection to the Highlands.

He performed four times at the RockNess festival at Dores on Loch Ness, including the first one in 2006 and the last one in 2013.

Belladrum has a history of having women in the top slots, and Macdonald headlined the festival in 2010.

Other female headliners include Paloma Faith in 2018, Jess Glynne in 2019 and Sigrid in 2023.

Tickets for the 2027 festival went on sale shortly after this year's festivities came to a close in August.
