Kemi Badenoch has featured in the front row at M&S’s first-ever London Fashion Week show.

The Conservative party leader, 46, wore a silver metallic top under a suit with black heels and a red handbag.

This catwalk show was held at the Design Museum in Kensington, west London, and marked 100 years of fashion at the British retailer.

The show also featured famous models strutting down the catwalk in the high street store’s latest designs.

One was Lennon Gallagher – the 27-year-old son of Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher and actress and singer Patsy Kensit.

He took to the catwalk in a cashmere crew-neck jumper and tailored-fit wool-blend suit, casually holding a leather bomber jacket over one arm.

Dutch supermodel Lara Stone, 42, also appeared in the show, wearing an ivory double-breasted longline overcoat, which was embellished with dramatic large faux fur cuffs.

Television personality and model Jodie Kidd, 47, walked in a pair of oversized aviator sunglasses and a black leather longline coat and pencil skirt, with a green lacy bra showing.

Other famous faces attending the show included Dame Joan Collins, Pixie Geldof, Jessie Ware, David Gandy and Katherine Jenkins.

Rather than presenting a traditional catwalk collection, M&S has adopted a “see now, buy now” format for its show, allowing shoppers to purchase pieces almost immediately after they appeared on the catwalk.

British Fashion Council chief Laura Weir previously described the show as “a significant moment”, adding that it demonstrates “how heritage, innovation and accessibility can come together to connect exceptional British design with consumers in new and relevant ways.”
