A teenage girl who vanished after meeting a man over Snapchat has been found alive after a nationwide manhunt.

Kylie Arellano, was 15,when she left her family home in Garden City, Utah in May 2025.

She never came home triggering a 500-day nationwide search as FBI agents scrambled for leads.

The agency had to investigate dozens of unconfirmed sightings before finally locating her on Sunday to the joy of her family.

Her mother Stephanie Coleman had set up a Facebook group to share information but confirmed the news.

She said: ‘I was looking at a photo of my babygirl and Kylie was found safe,the day before my birthday. Thank you all so much! We will be back, to save more!’

Her group claimed that she had been held captive for more than a year but her mother never gave up looking.

Kylie Arellano’s grandmother thanked the authorities for finding her on X: ‘Thank for all you and your agents and teams are doing to find our baby girl, Kylie Arellano and bring her home!’

Kylie was found with a 39-year-old man in Oregon, the FBI said without providing further details. He was taken into custody without incident.

A law enforcement source told Fox News, the suspect allegedly met the teenager on Snapchat before her disappearance.

‘The FBI and the Rich County Sheriff’s Office have been actively investigating this case for more than a year and pursuing every lead received from across the U.S. and in other countries.

‘As this case is ongoing, no further information will be released at this time,’ the FBI’s Salt Lake City field office said in a statement.

‘Tonight, local police in Oregon brought a minor who had been missing for a year and a half to safety, acting on information provided by our FBI Salt Lake City Field Office,’ FBI Director Kash Patel said.

‘We are grateful she can return home, and we will continue working with our partners to hold those responsible accountable.’
