Survivors who were abused at a children's home have said it is "shameful" they have had no personal apology from the council responsible for their care.
In February, a jury at Bradford Crown Court concluded that former manager Malcolm Phillips sexually abused six children at Skircoat Lodge in Halifax between 1976 and 1994.
Phillips, 93, was deemed not fit for a criminal trial and was given an absolute discharge after a 'trial of facts'.
His former assistant, Linda Brunning, 67, was jailed for 25 years after being found guilty of indecent assault against one boy and helping Phillips abuse another boy in the 1980s and 1990s.
In a statement following verdicts, Calderdale Council said it was "deeply sorry for the harm and suffering caused by these individuals" - but the victims said they have personally heard "nothing" from the local authority.
In a fresh statement released in response to the comments from those who stayed at Skircoat Lodge, a council spokesperson said: "We remain committed to doing everything we can to support those impacted by historic abuse, in partnership with health services and the police.
"This offer of support remains open to all former Skircoat Lodge residents as required by their individual needs and circumstances."
Following a trial of facts, Phillips was found to have sexually abused six children, including Angela Radford in the 1970s and Karen Bentham and Kelly Lees in the 1990s.
The three women have waived their right to lifelong anonymity to talk about the abuse they endured whilst in local authority care at Skircoat Lodge.
Jezz Rushworth lived at the home from the age of five. He was not a victim of sexual abuse, but gave evidence at the trial, describing how children disappeared from their beds during the night.
The four former residents met for the first time at the sentencing hearing at Bradford Crown Court in June and have been supporting each other ever since.

"Finding the others was 'wow', because I thought I was the only one in Skircoat Lodge it was happening to," Angela said.
"The mother hen in me could not protect them, and that really upset me, but it's so nice to have them because we are just there for one another."
Karen was abused by Phillips in 1990 at the age of 14.
"We've maybe not been through exactly the same trauma, but we've been through trauma at the hands of the same people and in the same building," she said.
"It's nice to be able to openly talk about it because when I talk to these guys I don't feel embarrassed, I don't feel ashamed and I don't feel small."
The trial of facts heard that children at Skircoat Lodge were deprived of food and sleep and threatened that family visits would be stopped.
The prosecution described how Phillips "let no one challenge his authority" and that he would "isolate specific children to use for his sexual gratification".
Bradford Crown Court was told that children would run away after being abused but were taken back to the home by police and accused of being troublemakers.

Jezz described his time as a 5-year-old in Skircoat Lodge as "traumatic, not knowing what was going on, what was right and what was wrong".
He told the BBC he was surprised not to hear personally from the authorities after giving evidence at the trial.
"I feel Calderdale Council and social services should be held responsible as well because they played a major part," he said.
"There's been no personal apology, it's just been put out there on social media and I feel very hurt on that."
Kelly was sexually abused by Phillips as an 11-year-old girl in 1993 and criticised the response of Calderdale Council following the trial.
"I think they should be asking what support we need. 'Do you need any support? How can we help you now?' What has happened to humanity?" she said.
"Those in the positions today might not have been around when Skircoat Lodge was open, and I totally understand, but it isn't ever too late to offer some support."
Karen added that she had heard "nothing" from the local authority.
"I'm trying not to be angry about it because I've spent too long being angry, however I think it's shameful, that's the only word, it's shameful," she said.
"Why have they thought it was OK to not come to us and say, 'we might not have been working at the time, but as a council we are just so sorry for what you have been through?'
"There's been nothing."

Angela said any apology would be 50 years too late for her.
"We should have been listened to, we should have been believed, even by the police back in the 70s," she said.
"There's been no accountability, and here we are, all scarred, all never going to forget what we have been through."
Brunning was found guilty of indecent assault against one boy and helping Phillips abuse another boy in the 1980s and 1990s.
The Calderdale Council spokesperson said: "We would like to reiterate our sincere apology to everyone who suffered abuse while in the council's care at Skircoat Lodge before it closed in the 1990s.
"The experiences described by survivors are deeply distressing, and we recognise the lifelong impact that abuse can have on the people affected.
"It was never our intention to give the impression that their experiences were not being acknowledged, and we thank them for the courage they have shown by sharing their stories."
They added: "If anyone feels they are not receiving the support they need or wants to revisit previous support offered, we would encourage them to contact us."
Det Ch Insp Claire Smith, of West Yorkshire Police, said the force "accepted opportunities have been missed in the past to protect victims of child sexual exploitation and abuse".
She added: "We have taken this learning and used it to develop strong partnerships and better working practices with other agencies.
"We want to assure people that these crimes have not gone unpunished, and those responsible have been held to account.
"Above all, we hope the victims feel that their voices have been heard and that a measure of justice has been achieved."
