A London security guard who went viral at London Fashion Week for his striking good looks has landed himself a top modelling contract.

Soufian Boucetta caught the attention of fashion fans at the Simone Rocha show last Sunday, despite being there to keep an eye on the doors.

A video of the 24-year-old, captioned “it was difficult to focus on this Simone Rocha because…”, quickly sent social media into a spin gathering over 800,000 views on TikTok, with commenters labelling Soufian as “fine” and “drop dead gorgeous”.

“Why didn’t he walk the runway himself?” one comment said.

Another added: “He should be booked for upcoming shows!”.

“He is very distracting,” wrote another.

And it seems the fashion world agreed.

The Camberwell resident set off something of a bidding war following the show, with interest reportedly flooding in from around the world, including Milan, Paris and the United States.

Within hours, Soufian found himself being invited to dinner parties and fashion shows.

“My DMs were on fire,” he told The Standard. “When I finished my shift I went home to take a shower and when I came out I saw the viral video and it was at like 850,000 views.”

Originally from Girona in Spain, Soufian moved to the UK four years ago and previously worked in construction before moving into private event security.

His job has taken him backstage and front of house at theatres and some of the capital’s biggest fashion shows, where he has helped keep an eye on stars including Rhianna.

But now, it seems, he may be the one attracting the attention.

While Soufian enjoyed working in security, he said he is now “super excited” about his future career in modelling, having signed a contract with PRM agency.

“I was so happy, you know. New world, new people as well,” he said.

He is already getting to grips with the modelling world, guided by his new agency, with digital photographs being taken to build his portfolio.

Asked which brands he would like to work for in future, Soufian picked Gucci and Diesel as two examples.

But perhaps the biggest ambition is the most obvious one, which is swapping the security position at London Fashion Week for a spot on the runway itself.
