If you’re trying to avoid disruption on the Northern line this afternoon, you can try London’s buses, Thameslink, South Western Railway and tram services.
• From Morden or South Wimbledon: Hop onto the London Trams over to Wimbledon Station. From there, you can take a South Western Railway train straight into Waterloo (roughly 15–20 minutes), or use the District line.
• From Tooting or Colliers Wood: Walk, bus, or cycle over to Tooting Station (National Rail) or Mitcham Eastfields. You can catch a Thameslink directly to Elephant & Castle, Blackfriars, City Thameslink, and St Pancras.
• Switch completely to National Rail. Southern Service trains run frequently from Balham Station straight into Victoria or London Bridge.
• From Clapham (South, Common, North): If you are near Clapham High Street, walk over to the London Overground (Clapham High Street station) to travel east towards Shoreditch/Highbury & Islington or west towards Clapham Junction.
