A stretch of the UK’s busiest motorway is closed on the first day after the summer holidays following a serious crash in Surrey.
Drivers have been warned to expect long traffic delays on the M25 this morning after the incident overnight.
The M25 remains closed anti-clockwise between junction J11 near Ottershaw and J10 for Cobham.
The motorway will remain closed for several hours, with drivers told to avoid the J10-J11 area as congestion is expected.
National Highways said there is ‘no ETA on reopening,’ with around 45 minutes of delays on approach in both directions.
