Man arrested over death of 80-year-old man in Fife

A man has been arrested following the death of an 80-year-old man in Fife.

Emergency services were called to Dunecht Court in Glenrothes at about 03:20 following a report of a seriously injured man.

The 80-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and his family was made aware.

Police Scotland said a 22-year-old man was arrested and inquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A post mortem examination will take place in due course and the death is being treated as suspicious."
