A man was caught with £2.6m of cocaine stashed among Santa gift bags after police raided a flat in Glasgow just days before Christmas.

Jordan Wetherill, 23, was found to have more than 100 blocks of cocaine as well as a smaller amount of heroin at the house in Shettleston on December 21, 2025.

A judge was shown a short police video of the police operation with the huge haul of drugs mainly lying taped up in the living room among Santa gift bags.

First-offender Wetherill was remanded in custody after he admitted being concerned in the supply of both drugs of the High Court of Glasgow.

The 23 year-old from Parkhead was found in the flat with another person when officers swooped.

They initially discovered packages of heroin in a supermarket carrier bag.

Police then also seized a total of 103 blocks of white powder all marked with a FedEx-style delivery company label.

Prosecutor Jennifer Nicholson-White told the court: "These were analysed and found to contain cocaine. Each block weighed approximately 1kg (2.2lbs)."

A lesser amount of the drug was also discovered.

The hearing was told that Wetherill's fingerprints at the scene also linked him to the crime.

The value of the cocaine was £2,591,000 with the heroin worth an estimated £30,000.

Defence lawyer Billy Lavelle asked for Wetherill's bail to be continued.

But Lord Ghosh instead remanded him in custody as sentencing was deferred until next month in Edinburgh.
