A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of two police officers in South Lanarkshire.
The officers had been carrying out inquiries at a property on Glen Avenue, Larkhall, when a white Renault Traffic van was deliberately driven at them.
The incident happened at about 14:10 on 25 July.
Police Scotland said the suspect was arrested after a vehicle was stopped at junction 8 on the M74 at about 20:40 on Tuesday.
The force added a 59-year-old woman was also arrested and charged in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The suspects are due to appear before Hamilton Sheriff Court later.
The two male officers, aged 41 and 43, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Det Insp Alister Thom said: "This act of violence left two officers, who were simply carrying out their duties, seriously injured.
"While they have since been discharged from hospital, they will remain unfit for duty for a prolonged period, and our thoughts continue to be with them at this time."
He added more than 100 properties throughout Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders had been searched during the course of the investigation.
