A man has been charged with murder after a mum of two was found dead at a property in Nottinghamshire.

Anna Zukowska, 52, was discovered at her home in James Close, Ollerton, shortly before 20:00 BST on Sunday, Nottinghamshire Police said.

On Wednesday, the force said Jozef Zbigniew Oleszek, 60, also of James Close, had been charged with her murder and was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

In a tribute released on behalf of Zukowska's family, they described her as a "wonderful, vibrant person who was full of life and had so many plans for the future".

"She leaves behind countless friends whose lives she touched.

"Her mother, her sister and sons are deeply heartbroken and struggling to process the unimaginable tragedy."

Police said Zukowska's family were being supported by specially trained officers.

Det Insp Stu Barson, who is leading the investigation, added: "The family and friends of Anna Zukowska are at the forefront of this investigation.

"We cannot even begin to imagine the pain and suffering they are going through right now and we will continue to support them in every way possible."
