A man has been charged with murder after a woman's body was found in a burning van.
Thomas Matthew Hammond Bell, of Wellington Road, Rhyl, appeared at Llandudno Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
North Wales Police arrested the 38-year-old after emergency services had been called to Gas Works Lane in Prestatyn, Denbighshire, at about 23:30 BST on 4 October to deal with a van fire.
Det Ch Insp Zoie Dunkerley said the investigation was ongoing and encouraged anyone with information to come forward.
It had been confirmed that the victim was an adult female after a post-mortem examination of the body recovered from the van.
Bell was arrested on suspicion of murder before an extension of custody was granted on Tuesday.
Earlier this week, Det Supt Chris Bell said: "We understand this incident may cause concern within the local community, and I would like to reassure the public that there is a visible policing presence in the area."
Bell is due before Mold Crown Court on Friday.
