A man has been found guilty of fatally shooting an 18-year-old outside a Wembley nightclub.

Tyrece Balcha was found with gunshot wounds outside the Crystal Club in Atlantic Crescent at about 05:30 GMT on 21 September 2025. He was taken to hospital, where he died four days later.

A jury at the Old Bailey found Ashley Wallace, 40, of Shenley Road, Southwark, guilty of murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

At the same trial, two men were found not guilty of murder. A woman was cleared of possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and perverting the course of justice. The jury did not reach a verdict on a fourth man.

CCTV footage showed that Balcha had been involved in an altercation inside the club before being followed outside and shot.

Wallace fled the scene in a vehicle and was arrested on 25 September after police traced the car to south-east London.

A revolver carrying Wallace's DNA was found inside the vehicle, and investigators established that the bullet recovered from the murder scene had been fired from the gun.

Balcha's mother, Bonnie, said after the verdict: "While this verdict is important, it does not bring our son back or ease the pain we have lived with every day since we lost him.

"Tyrece's life was cruelly taken from him eight weeks after he had turned 18 years old.

"He was a loving son, brother and friend with the biggest heart, an infectious smile and a personality that drew people towards him.

"We pray that Tyrece can now rest in peace, knowing that justice has been served."

Det Ch Insp Phil Clarke said the victim's family had "conducted themselves with remarkable dignity and patience" throughout the investigation and trial.

He added: "We are grateful for their continued support and cooperation, and we hope today's verdict provides them with some measure of justice."

A date for Wallace's sentencing has not yet been confirmed.
