A man has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder at Belfast Magistrates' Court.

The charges relate to a stabbing in north Belfast on 23 August 2024.

Conneth Paul Johnston, 27, of Forthriver Park in Belfast, stood in the dock as the charges were read out to him.

He pleaded not guilty to other charges including aggravated burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm and assault on police.

He was remanded back into custody.

He is due to appear again for trial on 8 March 2027.
