A man had to be airlifted to hospital with "significant injuries" after falling from cliffs on the south of Scotland coast.
HM Coastguard teams from Kirkcudbright, Portling, and the Isle of Whithorn, were called out to the incident at about 10:00 on Saturday.
The injured man had called for assistance after the fall in the area between Balcary and Rascarrel.
He was given first aid before being winched to safety by the coastguard helicopter and then airlifted to hospital in Glasgow.

The scenic coastal area - located near Auchencairn in Dumfries and Galloway - is a popular ones with walkers.
It is known for its steep cliffs and views across the Solway Firth.
HM Coastguard said its teams had reached the scene and provided first aid before Helimed paramedics provided further care.
The casualty was then winched away from the area and taken to Glasgow for further treatment.
The coastguard thanked local farmers and two men who helped to guide them to the area where the injured man was located.
"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery," a statement added.

HM Coastguard advice on walking in coastal areas is to be aware that cliffs can be "more unstable than they look", with landslides likely to happen without warning.
It said people should stay well back from cliff edges, take note of warning signs, and be aware that strong gusts of wind could affect balance and potentially be fatal.
Walkers are recommended to wear suitable shoes and clothing, take food and water and carry a fully-charged mobile phone.
In addition, the coastguard said you should stick to signposted coastal paths and always let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return.
