Megan McKenna 'blown away' by support following terrifying home robbery

Megan McKenna said that she has been “blown away” by the support she has received following her terrifying home robbery ordeal.
Last month, the The Only Way is Essex star revealed that she relocated to Germany, where her husband Oliver Burke lives, after machete-wielding burglars broke into her home.
“I was robbed really badly in my own home. It scared me so much to be in the UK and to live in the UK on my own, because obviously Ollie’s in Germany,” she told Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast.

“I get goose pimples now thinking about it. They were inside my house, but I lock my bedroom door every night because I always worry about something happening to me when I’m on my own,” she said of the June 2025 incident.
Speaking to The Standard about the response she has had since disclosing the incident, she said: “I was just so overwhelmed, like blown away.
“Firstly, by how many people have been through similar things. And uh, secondly, just the love has just been so nice,” she explained at the National Television Awards.
“I just thank everybody really for being so lovely.”
The star said that she is “doing well” and “getting there” a year on from the horrifying incident.
She clarified that she now splits her time between Essex and Berlin, where the couple have a home.
“It makes life a lot easier having a baby, you know?,” she said.
