Police are offering a £20,000 reward for information that could help find mother-of-two Nazire Koreli who went missing two years ago.

Ms Koreli, 56, was last seen close to her home in Welling in southeast London in September 2024, and was reported missing to police that following February by her daughters.

Officers have since searched her home, reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage and carried out specialist searches in water nearby Danson Park.

Despite their efforts, Ms Koreli has not been found.

Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command arrested a man in his 50s on suspicion of Nazire's murder on Monday, March 10, 2025.

He was later released on bail and enquiries remain ongoing.

Officers continue to support Ms Koreli’s family, who remain desperate for answers as they mark two years since she was last seen.

Independent charity Crimestoppers has offered a £20,000 reward for information that could help police with the ongoing investigation.

“To know my mum is to know that she is creative, loves going to concerts, cooking for her family, teaching her students, and above all, loves me and my younger sister, her ‘girls’,” one of her daughters said.

“Mum raised me to be strong, determined and driven. That strength is how I have been able to deal with this heartbreak; determination is what is pushing me to find the answers we as a family so desperately need, the drive keeps me moving forward.

“Since my mum went missing, I have become a mother myself and I don’t know if I will ever accept that they may never meet. My daughter is about to turn two. Two years of a relationship my mother has missed out on, two years of not knowing the most brilliant little girl.

“I am missing not having my own mum while I have become a mum. I want to be able to pick up the phone and call her when I am having a hard day or need her advice. I’m missing our shared history. I’m missing someone to share the emotional toll with. I’m missing our inside jokes.

“Since she has been missing, I feel like half of me is living while the other half is frozen in time. There is darkness clouding every happy moment. A relentless reminder that a piece of me is gone. I broke into different pieces two years ago, giving my daughter the biggest parts of me, and losing the other parts to the grief and anguish of not having my mother here.

“There are so many unknowns, and these unknowns make it even more difficult every day. I need to know where my mum is. I need answers.”

Crimestoppers is completely independent of the police, and the reward is paid directly by them.

The charity guarantees that everyone who contacts them stays 100% anonymous.

The reward will be offered for a period of three months.

Anyone with knowledge about Ms Koreli’s whereabouts should get in touch with the charity by calling their 24/7 contact centre on 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website crimestoppers-uk.org.

Alternatively, call police on 101 quoting CAD 5678 of 28 February 2025.

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the investigation, said: "Two years on from Nazire's disappearance, her family continue to face the pain of not knowing what happened to her.

"Our investigation remains active, and we are committed to pursuing every line of enquiry available to us.

"Nazire had many friends and acquaintances in the Bexley area. We are asking anyone who knew her, or who may have seen her between September 2024 and February 2025, to think back and contact police if they have any information, no matter how small it may seem.

"Nazire is described as a woman of slim build, with light brown hair and olive skin.

"If you have seen her or have any information about her whereabouts, please get in touch."
