Michael Carrick issues Manchester United injury latest after Carlos Baleba blow

Michael Carrick will be sweating over the fitness of Carlos Baleba after the Manchester United midfielder hobbled off on Tuesday.
It is a result that eases the pressure on their under-fire manager, who had overseen a nine-match winless run which had seen his job brought into question.
He was spared the sack after heavy defeats by Como and Bournemouth a fortnight ago, taking charge last weekend at Chelsea, where they also lost 2-0.
His players rallied for him in the second half in the Champions League, however, after a dismal first-half showing that saw their visitors go 2-0 up thanks to Matias Soule and Donyell Malen’s quick-fire strikes.
Baleba was a bright spark for the home side in an otherwise absymal display, with the summer recruit showing bursts of energy from midfield, looking to support attacking moves.
An early power into the Roma box in the second period was what did the damage, however, as he pulled up grasping his hamstring in agony inside the first minute of the second half.
It comes as a fresh blow to the former Brighton midfielder, who arrived in the north west in the summer with a pre-existing ankle problem that scuppered his start to life in his new colours.
Carrick issued an update on Baleba afterwards, and he will be praying that his new signing will only be out for a short time.
"I haven't got any more news on Carlos at this stage, but obviously it looks like it’s his hamstring," the United head coach said.
"So we'll just have to assess what that looks like. I mean, initially, it doesn't look great. Timelines? I haven't got much more to give you."
United face Aston Villa at Old Trafford this weekend before the November international break.
