A driving lesson turned tragic for a Michigan father after his own daughter, who he was teaching to drive, accidentally ran him over.
The Warren Police Department said that the 62-year-old man was showing his daughter how to parallel park when the incident happened.
The unidentified pair were practicing in the 24000 block of Warner Ave, some 13 miles away from the iconic Fox Theatre, the Detroit Free Press reported.
The police officials said that they rushed to the scene after they responded to a 4pm call on Sunday.
The 18-year-old daughter allegedly hit her father with a 1998 Toyota Camry and dragged him a short distance, the outlet reported.
She eventually stopped and stayed at the scene till emergency responders arrived.
The father was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Warren Police Department is continuing its investigation, the outlet reported. No charges have been filed.

The police have ruled out drugs and alcohol as a factor in this tragic accident.
They added that the family, including the daughter, is fully cooperating with the investigators.
The officials said that the preliminary evidence is consistent with the daughter’s description of the crash, CBS News reported.

The fatal incident is one of the many accidents that have recently taken place in Michigan.
On September 14, Ray Woodrow Jr, 78, fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian in Wayne County. His bond was set at $10,000 and his next court hearing is on September 29.
Around the same time, a man died and two people, including a 10-year-old, were hurt in a crash on Portage Street in Kalamazoo.
