A reckless driver who refused to stop for police in a 100mph pursuit was brought to a violent halt after flipping his car at a roundabout.
Illegal migrant Hai Nguyen, 40, ignored repeated orders to stop his Audi A6 after being tailed by officers from Cheshire Constabulary on the M6.
The officers had tried to stop the car after being alerted to the fact it was uninsured – sparking a dangerous high-speed pursuit.
Dramatic video released by the force shows Nguyen ignore the siren of the police car as he accelerated away on July 20.
'He's aware of my presence, he's not reacting – we're going to have to declare this as a pursuit,' one of the officers is heard to say.
After being given the go-ahead, the officers set off in pursuit as Nguyen dived off the motorway and switched to the M56 westbound, south-east of Liverpool.
The dangerous driver reached speeds of 100mph as he moved onto the hard shoulder of the pitch-black carriageway.
He then stayed on the emergency lane for a mile before diving off of the motorway at the next junction to continue his escape.

Hai Nguyen, 40, flipped his Audi A6 after crashing into a roundabout at high speed while trying to evade police

Nguyen appeared to misjudge the speed of his car as he attempted to brake moments before impact

Nguyen was sentenced to 12 months in prison – and could face being deported upon release
But Nguyen, having seemingly misjudged the corner, waited too long to brake before entering the roundabout at the top of the slip road – and careened into the crash barriers.
One of the officers appears to exclaim a moment before the impact and can only watch as the Audi rolls onto its side before tipping onto its roof and sliding back into the middle of the road.
The car eventually comes to a rest on all four wheels, scattering debris across the tarmac, as the pursuing officers radio in the crash.
Astonishingly, Nguyen – who appeared to have been thrown out of his seat – tries to climb out of the window even as police rushed in.
Nguyen, of no fixed address but from Liverpool, was charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance, failing to stop for a police officer and possessing criminal property.
He admitted all four offences and was jailed for 12 months on Monday at Chester Crown Court.

After the crash, Nguyen tried to climb out of the window to escape even as officers ran over
The court heard he 'lost control' of the vehicle in the moments before the crash, and was found to be carrying £1,010 in cash.
Judge Jack McGarva was told Nguyen could not speak English – which may have meant he did not understand police signs ordering him to follow them.
But prosecutors said officers had repeatedly tried to get his attention using sirens, hand gestures and by shouting through an open window.
Sentencing Nguyen, the judge said he wanted to 'send a message' to other drivers considering ignoring police instructions on the road, and that he hoped the punishment would 'deter others' from failing to stop.
PC Payne, of Cheshire Constabulary, welcomed the sentence.
'Nguyen's driving was incredibly dangerous and put other members of the public at risk,' the officer said.
'Despite the serious collision, he still tried to climb out of the car window before being detained by our officers.
'Let this be a reminder that the rules of the road are in place for a reason and you will be caught and held accountable if you choose to ignore them.'
