This is the moment a topless Range Rover driver was snared by police after reaching 115mph with a child on board. 

Johnpaul Allen, 32, was spotted speeding after he unknowingly zoomed past an unmarked police car on the A60 in Nottinghamshire on May 25. 

Officers chased after him, going as fast as 120mph to keep up with 'reckless' Allen.

He eventually slowed down ahead of speed cameras near Cuckney but was later clocked driving at 70mph through a 30mph zone in Warsop. 

Dashcam footage showed Allen weaving in and out of traffic at one point narrowly avoiding a collision with an oncoming vehicle as he careered onto the wrong side of the road.

The officers eventually stopped him and asked him to leave the Range Rover Sport on the roadside shortly after 9.30pm that night. 

Bodycam footage shows the driver – with no shirt and a pair of Adidas sliders on – admitting to having 'one or two' alcoholic drinks before getting behind the wheel. 

Allen, from Mansfield Woodhouse, admitted to a charge of dangerous driving at  Nottingham Crown Court last week. 

He was jailed for six months and banned from holding a driver's licence for 16 months.  

PC Ky Kirk, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: 'Allen clearly had no idea he was overtaking an unmarked police vehicle when he carried out the first dangerous manoeuvre and almost collided with an oncoming car.

'We then had to travel at speeds well in excess of 100mph to keep up with him as he drove recklessly along a major A-road through the county.

'After slowing for a while he then drove well over twice the speed limit of 30mph through a built-up area of Warsop.

'He put countless drivers, pedestrians and other road users at risk that evening, not to mention the child who was alongside him in the Land Rover.

'I'm pleased the judge has sentenced him to a spell behind bars and hope he reflects on the quality of his driving.'
