Moody Donald Trump storms off after reporter calls him a ‘loser’

President Donald Trump did not like being called a loser following a monumental defeat in the US midterm elections.

As Americans flocked to the polls this week, they sent the Republican Party a loud and clear message, with historically safe seats swiped from under them.

The Democratic Party picked up victories in key states like Texas, typically a red stronghold, which has elected the Republican presidential nominee in every election since 1980.

Kansas elected its first Democratic senator since 1932, while North Carolina, South Carolina, and Iowa also flipped.

What’s more, in a string of historic feats, voters elected the first Native American female governor (Deb Haaland), the first Black female governor (Keisha Lance Bottoms), the first Muslim US senator (Abdul El-Sayed), and the first openly gay male US senator (Chris Pappas), to name a few.

Now, the Democrats have control of Congress for the remainder of Trump’s presidency.

But he’s not bitter about it…

Departing the White House in Florida on Friday, the 80-year-old sheltered from the rain under an umbrella as journalists fired out questions.

In moody Trump fashion, he turned around and walked off without acknowledging him.

Although we know the president isn’t backwards about coming forward when it comes to the press.

This is, of course, the man who wanted to block mainstream news outlets from covering the White House entirely before a judge ruled such action was ‘likely unconstitutional’.

The ruling forced journalists from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico to be readmitted as US TV coverage returned to normal.

But they certainly haven’t had a warm welcome back, as Trump also completely blew up at reporters during a heated Oval Office exchange just weeks ago.

He was quizzed by Andrew Feinberg of The Independent on proposed plans to offer financial rewards to whistleblowers exposing government fraud.

Vice President JD Vance branded it a ‘fundamentally dishonest question’ before Trump interjected, warning Feinberg to ‘be careful’ and calling him a ‘sick person’ when he later asked about his golf courses.

‘What’s wrong with you? Are you a sick person? I actually think there’s something wrong with you,’ raged the president.

‘Can you imagine — look at this dope, look at this guy; he’s way out of shape,’ the sweaty POTUS ridiculed.

It’s been a turbulent few months for the Republican leader, who was clearly feeling the heat in the lead-up to the election that saw his government firmly rebuked by voters.

Speaking to Fox News, he confessed he was ‘a little surprised’ by the result, having thought the Republican candidates would ‘do better’.

‘The Democrats did a good job. They fought hard,’ he said… before declaring he would throw out ‘insane’ legislation that comes his way.

‘After a couple of months of vetoes, they’ll call, and they’ll say, “How do we get this stuff done?” And we’ll work together,’ he teased, adding: ‘I have the power of veto.’

Still, it seems his character is developing, as Trump confirmed to The New York Times that he was ‘absolutely willing to accept’ the election results, which he attributes in part to the Iran conflict.

In fact, he even said he’s ‘looking forward to working with’ the Democrats – although we’ll see how long that lasts.

‘We’ll probably work something out,’ he quipped.
