Strictly Come Dancing’s new presenters Johannes Radebe, Emma Willis and Josh Widdecombe star in a new trailer for the show alongside professional dancers and judges.

The advert for the new series of the BBC’s flagship entertainment show sees professionals and the judging panel dancing together, with judge Craig Revel Horwood smashing a disco ball as they perform to a cover of Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer.

The clip, which sees the stars on set surrounded by vintage cars and other props, goes on to take a Latin turn before a light flashes and Radebe, Willis and Widdecombe are seen emerging from an illuminated frame.

The full routine glimpsed in the trailer will be shown on Strictly’s launch show, which will feature a new way of pairing couples. Each celebrity and dancer will discover the identity of their partner in front of the studio audience via three specially-choreographed group dance routines.

Strictly’s launch show will also give fans a behind-the-scenes look at preparations and rehearsals, with an appearance by last year’s champion, former England footballer Karen Carney, who will dance a jive with her professional partner from last year’s series, Carlos Gu.

It comes after Strictly also announced five new professional dancers joining the show this year: Aleksandra Isaeva, Cristian Priori, Lethabo Monametsi, Maddie Ingoldsby and Mark Karmalita.

They will make their debut participating in the opening routine, along with the 14 returning professionals.

Celebrity contestants confirmed for the new series include former Love Island winner Dani Dyer-Bowen, actress Melanie Walters, former England footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips, and Australian singer Delta Goodrem.

Judges Shirley Ballas, Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke will also return for the new series.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 7.25pm on Saturday September 19, and will air every weekend until Christmas.
